The Harborside Inn is lovely! We stayed in a 2nd floor room at the Chappaquiddick House with a king bed and a balcony overlooking beautiful Edgartown Harbor and Chappaquiddick. The room itself is very pretty, and the view of the active harbor is absolutely spectacular! The property has a pretty lobby and beautiful gardens, a pool, and fire pits & Adirondack chairs by the harbor. The location cannot be better—it’s smack downtown Edgartown. I also loved the early morning yoga classes offered twice a week. It’s a family friendly place, but my husband and I had a great stay, and we’ll be back. Compared to the prices of other Edgartown hotels it’s the best value around. Martha’s Vineyard is one of the prettiest places in New England, and we think Aquinnah and South Beach are two of the best beaches in the world. We hope to return in the fall to further explore the island’s natural beauty.
We had a great visit to the Harborside Inn. Everything was beautiful especially the landscaped grounds. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Location can’t be beat for convenience. Definitely plan to return!
The Service, Rooms and Location are all Great. The ONLY issue I have with this hotel is parking. I had to park about 3 blocks away to get to my car and on a Hot Day it’s a pretty long walk. But, that being said, I would Definitely stay here again!
Be sure to upgrade to a larger room. Some are very small.Location close to everything but no bar or rest. That said it is only 100 yards away
Everyone at the hotel was absolutely wonderful! Service was exceptional! Shirley especially was super sweet, very caring, and accommodating. It is very obvious that she and others are very happy to be here.
I have been going to the Harborside Inn since I was a young girl. We just got back from a 3 night stay this past weekend. The location is incredible, the associates/staff were all so accommodating and helpful and all genuinely seem to be happy in their roles, you could really feel the culture and comradery of the staff. The room was beautiful, as are the views. Thank you, Harborside Inn.
We have been staying at The Harborside Inn since 1980 and the historic nature of the buildings and accommodations are unique. It’s also one of the only hotels in Edgartown with a swimming pool with a view of the harbor. There are also slips for boats up to 25 feet that can be rented. Walking along S. Water St. at night really makes you feel that you’re back in the whaling era. The staff is also very attentive in the offstreet parking for your car is also a big plus. Wonderful place for a weekend or a week or two.
Our experience at Harborside Inn was great! We originally came in on 9/7 and checked inn and didn't have the warmest of greetings. The person who checked us in was fairly cold and didn't really provide us with much information about the site and services. Then, we went to our room as was very underwhelmed based off the booking we thought we had. We went back to the front desk and had a new person assisting us named James. He was great! He was so friendly, helped accomodate our new needs, and provided us all the information and offerings of the Inn. Based off all the information he provided, we realized what a great place it was and were so excited to stay there. We are thankful for James great customer service and recommend staying here!
